Your child's Christmas Cards can now be ordered.

Last month your child designed a Christmas scene and their wonderful artwork can now be seen online:

Order forms will go out in book bags later today and the design can be used on: 

• Christmas cards
• Gift tags
• Mugs
• Thank-you cards

Ordering these through the Parent Staff Association (PSA) raises vital money for the school. For example, for each pack of six cards you order the school will receive £2, gift tags give us £1, thank-you cards £2, mugs £1.80 and the value packs give us £4.10.

Please make cheques payable to Our Lady’s School Parents Association and return the form to school as soon as you can. The closing date for orders is Monday 9 November in order to ensure you receive everything in plenty of time for last posting dates.

Huge thanks to everyone who has helped out at and attended events in the last year. Thanks to your support and generosity we raised over £7,760 for our school.  

Fundraising

The biggest fundraisers were as follows:

Summer Fete & Raffle & End of Year Party: £3,214

Cake Sales: £1,521

Xmas Bazaar:£1,052

Cinema Nights: £864

Xmas Raffle: £442

Bingo  Night: £372

Easter Raffle: £295

                                               

Spending: Last year we choose books as our fundraising target and we have donated £5,000 to the school for these books, plus an additional £2,190 for the Junior Librarian licence and membership which keeps track of the school library books.  

In addition the PSA funded the following items:

·         Classroom Fund: £1,000

·         Digital cameras and memory cards for each class: £737

·         Contribution to cost of leavers' hoodies: £543

·         Contribution towards PE equipment shed: £521

·         Christmas tree & lights: £200

·         Transport for Festival of Voices: £100

·         Contribution towards leavers pizza party: £50

·         Crackers for children's Christmas lunch: £36

Any spending over £25 is agreed at PSA meetings which everyone is welcome to attend.

Update on fundraising for the school

Thanks for you support if you helped out by making, selling or eating cakes!
Miss McGuinness class cake sale raised £123.45.
Also last week's Quiz night hosted by Mrs Wootton raised around £101.74.

Keep an eye on the upcoming cake sales and lets make the next one, Mrs Simms' class on Friday 27th March at 1pm even better.

Christmas Bazaar - a great success

Many thanks to all those who helped making this event happen, either organising before the event or running the bazaar on the day. It is a great event that the pupils love!
It also is a great fundraiser, particularly this year raising over £1,000 towards Our lady's new library.

Also before term ends, don't forget to buy a 2015 Our Lady's wall calendar which are on sale in the school's office. Each pupil has drawn a self-portrait drawing which appears on the month of their birthday.
It is only £4 and would be a lovely household Christmas present.

Christmas Bazaar tomorrow

The PTA have been busy sorting and organising all the lovely Christmas goods for tomorrow's Bazaar.

The children always have a lovely time selecting gifts for their families. Remember to give them £3-5 (or an affordable amount!) and a plastic bag for their goodies.
This year we are having a Christmas Bazaar for our parents from 3- 5pm and there will be a glass of mulled wine too!
